Paula has a keen interest in food and how it supports gut health as well as mental health.
Paula is passionate about helping and supporting clients. Her goal is to create an environment where people can share their story, to listen closely to their concerns and needs, and set a pathway forward. She understands that everyone's story is different and these stories are often not simple or neat. Each story is unique and must be heard in order to map a personalised solution.
This can only be done together in a true partnership - client, dietitian and other supporting health professionals including your treating specialist. She understands that gut health needs a holistic approach and that we must consider all the functions of the gastrointestinal tract, especially if it has been affected by disease or surgery. This is the reason why Paula's service is a specialist referral service only.
What sets Paula apart is her proven evidence-based approach in practice and also her personal lived experience. In 1998 Paula was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease and in 2015 was diagnosed with Coeliac Disease. She is in the unique position of knowing what it feels like to be both patient and clinician. She has empathy for her clients and only wants the best for them.
Paula donates to Children's Ground to support First Nations nutrition and maternal and children health programs. Children's Ground are a First Nation organisations with a First Nations approach to create change for future generation.
